Molecular level inffering of diarrheal remission during the weaning period
A joint research group consisting of the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences, the RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics, the RIKEN BioResource Research Center, the RIKEN CSRS, Kyushu University, Chiba University, Kanazawa University, Hiroshima University, Kitasato University, Keio University, and the Japan Institute for Health Security has elucidated part of the mechanism of diarrheal remission in model calves by the compost-derived thermophile Caldifermentibacillus hisashii using integrated multiomics analyses.
The results of this study indicate a valuable approach to preventing the spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria amid global demand for antibiotics-free livestock management.
